The MBI intarsia machines are the first INTARSIA KNITTING MACHINE of the circular type with a newly introduced concept, being introduced to the customers in the world. The MBI intarsia machine has been developed as a circular type, in order to express the INTARSIA design more freely, variously and perfectly.
MBI intarsia machine shows the color-converting ability that is about 1.5 times more than the Intarsia function of the previous Flat Knitting Machine.

Knitting control devices
For intarsia pattern knitting 23 yarn control boxes (on the upper table), and 24 needle selectors (on the lower table) are used. For rib knitting 1 multi-type yarn control box (on the upper table), and 2 needle selectors (on the lower table)are used.

This box is composed of three feeders, a pair of scissors and clamps and each of the feeders can be selected separately

Yarn control box for intarsia knitting
Each box is composed of a feeder, a pair of scissors and clamps. With the 23 boxes, intarsia pattern can be achieved easily and unrestrictedly within 23 color change environment.

Needle selector
26 high speed WAC actuators are surrounding the needle cylinder to select the needles. Among 26 actuators, two actuators are for rib knitting.

Gauge adjustment
Stitch cams are electronically controlled to adjust the gauge from 7 to 9 or 10 to 12. Intarsia stich cams and rib stitch cams are controlled separately

Fabric takedown
It is controlled by torque motor and speed is changeable within 99 levels
